Street Signs Project

I was looking for a new project to do over the spring and I decided that I would take photographs of all the street signs I passed. The idea is to stop, take one shot from the best possible position with my iPhone and then process with apps.

These are the results – and I’ll adding more to the series as I pass more signs.

All photographs were taken on a iPhone 3GS (3 megapixel) camera, Helga and Lolo filter enhancements made with the camerabag application.

First Aid Kit: Live on 22nd February 2010 at The Rainbow, Digbeth in Birmingham.

First Aid Kit are sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg from Stockholm, Sweden.

This performance at The Rainbow in Digbeth was incredible.

I’m already missing the snow that covered most of the UK recently, so to remind me of how incredible everything looked, I thought I’d take this opportunity to post up a series of photographs taken during those wonderful weeks.

The Fog – In West Bromwich

A heavy fog enveloped West Bromwich last Friday and after seeing images on Flickr coming from people in Birmingham, I was inspired to capture what was happening in West Bromwich.

This series was shot on my iPhone just after nine in the morning and was then put through one of the TTV filters in the Lo-Mob application – the result really makes West Bromwich look incredible.

Wyre Forest Autumn

These photographs were taken during a recent visit to the Wyre Forest near Bewdley.

As autumn was in full swing the forest took on an amazing look and these images hopefully capture some of the beauty of this incredible natural landscape.

To enhance the amazing landscape, I’ve used filters from Camerabag to really bring out the colours in some of the photographs and to create mood in others.

Portmeirion Lolo

This is a new set of photographs taken in August in Portmeirion, Wales.

Portmeirion was built by Welsh architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. It’s probably most famous for being the location of classic 60’s TV show ‘The Prisoner’. It’s a truly amazing place to visit. To enhance the already vivid landscape and architecture there I’ve used the Lolo filter from Camerabag to really bring out the colours.
