Vintage Chic Wedding Fair In Nottinghamshire

In a warm and sunny June, the Vintage Chic Wedding Fair held their third event in the beautiful surroundings of East Bridgford Hill, Nottinghamshire. As well as taking some photographs of the event, which can be seen in this post, I put together this short film of the many exhibitors who made the day such a success.

Bearwood Handmade Winter Fair

‘What if Christmas this year, doesn’t come from a store. What if Christmas, in Bearwood. means a little bit more…’

A huge thanks to the Crafty Muthas who did a great job hosting and organising the Bearwood Handmade Winter Fair and really making Christmas mean a little bit more.

The fair was held at St. Mary’s Church, Bearwood, Sandwell on Saturday 3rd December 2011 and featured over 40 local artisans. The whole event was a credit to the local creative community and the people of Bearwood and beyond came in their hundreds to pick up that extra special christmas gift.

It was a also great opportunity to take photographs that showcase some of the extremely talented exhibitors’ and their work and I thank you all for allowing me to do so.

Vintage Chic Wedding Fair @ The Old Library

Last month I was able to take photographs at the Midlands Vintage Chic Wedding Fair, which was held at The Old Library in The Custard Factory, Birmingham on Sunday 30th January 2011.

As one of the region’s best designers and makers, meeni exhibited at the Festive Flair event, held by Light House in the historic courtyard of the Chubb Buildings in December. Festive Flair is an annual event that brings together the regions best creative makers to sell their products in the run up to Christmas. These are my photographs from the event.

Beyond Bricks Project

Earlier this year I was lucky enough to be part of the Beyond Bricks: Livingstone Road Allotment project. The project involved working with the plot-holders to produce a small newspaper, a series of short films on DVD and other more physical material around the site, all in order to help promote the importance of the allotments within the local neighbourhood. It was an beautiful place to spend a few months and all of the people I met during that time were amazing individuals.

These are just a few of the photographs produced for the project and I wanted to share this incredible place with you.

The Livingstone Road Allotments Project has been funded by the Beyond Bricks Programme. Beyond Bricks is an exciting programme of temporary creative activities taking place in the Urban Living Pathfinder area which included areas of Birmingham and Sandwell. Beyond Bricks is funded by Urban Living and Arts Council England, West Midlands. The programme is managed by Multistory.

I was recently able to take photographs at the Midlands Vintage Chic Wedding Fair, held at St Helen’s Church, Fish Street, Worcester on Saturday 2nd October 2010. The event hosted by Cathy, founder of Vintage Chic Wedding Fair, was amazing. The space and the selection of exhibitors made the day feel truly magical.

This film was shot on a Canon 5D MKII with standard lens and no additional rig or equipment. It was then edited in Final Cut Express 4.
