Earlier this year I was lucky enough to be part of the Beyond Bricks: Livingstone Road Allotment project. The project involved working with the plot-holders to produce a small newspaper, a series of short films on DVD and other more physical material around the site, all in order to help promote the importance of the allotments within the local neighbourhood. It was an beautiful place to spend a few months and all of the people I met during that time were amazing individuals.
These are just a few of the photographs produced for the project and I wanted to share this incredible place with you.
The Livingstone Road Allotments Project has been funded by the Beyond Bricks Programme. Beyond Bricks is an exciting programme of temporary creative activities taking place in the Urban Living Pathfinder area which included areas of Birmingham and Sandwell.
