I love Fairbourne. It is a magical place that I return to year after year. One of the many amazing things there is the little steam railway. Last time I was there I decided to shoot a very simple Super 8 short. The result became Fairbourne: A Train Journey, which takes us from Penrhyn Point along the beach to Fairbourne Station. This hidden gem in the Welsh Countryside is a beautiful way to explore the Mawddach Estuary and beyond. The music has been especially composed by Scott Pawsey for this film and is © Scott Pawsey.
The Fairbourne Steam Railway is a member of Britain’s Great Little Railways and relies on volunteers, working alongside their full-time staff, to keep running. The railway needs your help to keep running so please visit: www.fairbournerailway.com to find out how you can help as well as planning your own trip along the tracks and you can also ‘Like’ them on Facebook: www.facebook.com/fairbournerailway
